Search Engine Optimized Pages

Real Estate CPR knows the importance of having highly optimized, search engine friendly website pages. If you are not being found on the Internet searches, then chances are, your business is not succeeding. Therefore, we have taken the time to make sure that when you add a page to your site, that your pages have all of the necesarry elements in place to be search engine friendly.

So what are the necessary elements that I need to have a search engine friendly webpage.

1st: Property TITLE TAG:

The TITLE TAG is the gateway to your individual webpages. The TITLE TAG tells the search engine bots briefly what your page is about. For instance if you are selling "High Healed Shoes" you would want your TITLE TAG to say "High Healed Shoes" and not something like "We Have Lots of Shoes" or "Internet Explorer" (as is seen so many times). You want your TITLE TAG to be very specific to the page you are displaying.

For Example: If you look at the title tag on this page it says "Creating Search Engine Optimized Pages". That is because this page is about createing "Creating Search Engine Optimized Pages".

Tip: Be very specific with your title tag.

Here is an example:

2nd: Correct META TAGS:

Having properly developed META TAGS is key to getting top rankings on the Internet. You may be asking yourself, What is a META TAG? META TAGS are information inserted into the "head" area of your web pages. Other than the title tag, information in the head area of your web pages is not seen by those viewing your pages in browsers. Instead, meta information in this area is used to communicate information to the search engine bots, and it helps them gain understanding about your pages.

Here are some examples of correct META TAGS:

This is the META DESCRIPTION TAG:

<meta name="description" content="Real Estate CPR helps agents create search engine optimized webpages on the fly with our easy to use content management system.">
This is the META KEYWORD TAG:
<meta name="keywords" content="Creating Search Engine Optimized Pages, content management website editor, search engine optimization, real estate cpr, real estate web site, real estate optimization, real estate content editor">
When you use Real Estate CPR, you don’t have to write the whole <meta> tag information. That is already included in your website application. All you have to do is write your description and your keywords (as shown highlighed in yellow) and you are set.

3rd: Search Engine Friendly URL’s

Most people underestimate the power of having search engine friendly URL’s. This is just one more way of increasing your exposure on the Internet. Too many sites rank poorly on the Internet due to their badly written URL’s. A bad url has tons of & and = signs in it. This is commonly refered to as a "Dynamic URL". These are not bad per se, they just have a hard time finding their way into search engine results. A better solution is, what is commonly known as a "Static URL’s". These URL’s do not have any & or = signs in the url.

Here is an example of a dynamic URL.

    http://www.somesites.com/forums/thread.php?threadid=12345&sort=date

Here is an example of static URL.

    http://www.somesites.com/tennisshoes.html

As you can see, the dynamic URL makes absolutely no sense to a person, let alone a search engine, whereas the static URL clearly defines what the page is about.

All of the main URL’s on your website are "Static URL’s" though they show dynamic content. By including this feature into your site, you are sure to get better rankings then your competitors who use "Dynamic URL’s".

4th: Page Content

Your main goal when developing your website application should be to have completely unique content. DO NOT copy content from other website. If you do, make sure you rewrite the content to fit your website. Google loves unique content that is very specific your business. It is also very important not to mesh multiple ideas into one page. For instance do not include content about "tables", "marbles", "bags", and "coffee" all into one page. Create pages that discuss these topics individually. By doing so you should rank well for all of these topics. Bottom Line: write unique content and write a lot of it.
